CTcP Technical Features
CTCP is a computer-to-plate system that uses ordinary PS plates' new CTP technology. (1) Low cost
High plate prices limit the rapid development of CTP technology in China. The CTP plate is more than two times that of the CTCP plate, and the price of its processing kit is three to ten times that of the CTCP plate.
(2) High image quality
CTCP adopts very small square pixels. The pixel size is between 10-28 microns. The dots formed by such square pixels have clear and sharp edges, which can better express the details of the image so that it can maintain a high quality of the image. However, the circular pixels imaged by general laser technology will overlap with each other. Therefore, square pixels can achieve the imaging effect of circular pixels at 2400dPi at a resolution of 1500dPi, which reduces the amount of data, improves RIP speed, and improves production efficiency.
(3) Easy to operate
CTCP can be operated in a bright indoor environment, and can easily print out printing plates of various specifications and sizes. It can also handle multiple plates at the same time. Multiple exposures can be made on the same plate.
(4) Improved printing quality
CTCP does not require film exposure, and images and dots are not affected by the quality degradation that occurs in traditional prepress processes. The printing plate has clear dots, good precision, and high quality, and can be used for book printing and newspaper printing. Can also be used for commercial printing packaging printing and High-quality printing. In traditional plate-making, dot gain and dot loss are unavoidable during film printing, so the exposure range of the PS plate is only 2% to 97%. The controllable tone range of printing is only about 5% to 90%. And mining using CTCRE technology eliminates dot gain and loss, so that the PS plate can reproduce 1% to 100% dots excellently, and the controllable range of printing is also expanded from 1% to 99%. That is to say, as long as the supporting conditions reach a certain level, it can completely replace CTP to complete the plate-making task.
(5) Reduce printing debugging time and material loss
CTCP plate-making positioning is more accurate than traditional analog plate-making. Less debugging time on the machine. At the same time, the waste of water, paper, ink, and other consumables is reduced.
(6) No need to change the current hardware configuration
CTCP can use data in 1-Bit Tiff format. And can use RiP data. Conventional processors and processing chemicals can be used. No special web interface and process flow are required.

The printing plate output by CTCP has good printing suitability, very high printing force, long light source life, low price, and easy maintenance of plate-making equipment.
(8) The performance requirements of the printing plate are relatively high
CTCP technology does image directly on ordinary PS plates, but the plates used still need to have high sensitivity and resolution.
(9) The dots are not as fine as the CTP plate
CTP can produce 10 micron FM network at the minimum, while CTCP is 16.9 microns. It is mainly compensated by precise positioning - about ± 2 microns.
(10) plate making equipment is more expensive
Although the price of CTCP plates is low, their performance is stable. But the plate-making equipment of CTCP system is not very cheap, and it is still much more expensive than ordinary plate-making equipment. The price of its high-end system is equivalent to that of the middle and low-end CTP systems. This also makes manufacturers who want to use it hesitantly.
(11) Plate-making speed is slow
The speed of CTCP plate making (using domestic printing plates) has always remained low, which is unsuitable for fast-paced newspaper printing. At the same time, some people think that CTCP technology is only a transitional technology. It is not an emerging technology, and it will be eliminated sooner or later.
(12) The market is immature
CTCP technology has not been in the market for a long time, and the conditions are not mature in all aspects. The market's overall evaluation is that its performance is not as stable and reliable as CTP.
